When I am Trying to View a Custom Asset I Get A "Whoops!" Error

 

 

Issue:

When I am trying to view a custom asset I created I keep getting a "Whoops! This isn't part of your Leadership Journey" error

 

Cause:

This is caused by having space characters " " in the file name of upload files to a custom asset.

The space characters show up as "%20" in the asset document & Downloadable Asset Document fields

 

Solution:

  1. Remove the custom file(s) from the custom asset
  2. Change the file name to a simple name with no space characters or special characters
    1. Example: "LEAPLevel200 Year1Learning Journey2024.pdf" to "LEAPLevel200Year1LearningJourney2024.pdf"
  3. Upload the file with the new simplified naming convention to the custom asset
  4. Save and republish the custom asset
